Studies, Students and Corona

It has been a month now since the countrywide lockdown has been declared.

The whole country is affected by it. Construction, Farming, Manufacturing, Daily wage jobs, public service, etc all have been severely affected. While everything has come to a halt the daily wage workers appear to be the worst affected ones. But around all these there is a section whose problems are getting worse by the day as the lockdown is expanding, they are none other than us, students.

While it is to save our own lives, still it is very concerning as our future depends on it.
  • High school exams are pending.
  • The college semester exams are pending.
  • Various other exams and selection processes are at halt till further notice which doesn’t appear anywhere soon.
It is not just about exams or studies. It’s about the lives they have ahead of them.

Problems that are faced by students all over the country are:
  1. The regular students have to shift to online classes.
  2. Many students are unknown to the system of online classes.
  3. Lack of proper study material.
  4. Poor network qualities in many areas.
  5. Fear of sudden and unprepared exams.
  6. Very poor exam preparation for college students.
  7. Lack of Group study and group discussion chances.
  8. Lack of motivation in studies due to sudden break.
  9. Many students stuck far away from home.
  10. A bunch of exams at the same time.
  11. Uncertainty in job opportunities and higher studies.
  12. Unknown lockdown situation.

These problems don’t just concern the students only but are a hurdle ahead of every person in the education system, the teachers, school & colleges, the administrations, the exam conducting agencies all are under pressure to solve all the problems and so that things get back to normal and everything runs smoothly.

As a student, it is our responsibility to utilize every resource in the best possible way so that when things go south we are prepared for them.
  1. Collect and study from notes provided by your teachers.
  2. Seek help from your seniors.
  3. Use education resources available on the internet.
  4. Use Youtube for learning.
  5. Revise your previous topics.
  6. Stay updated with your college websites.
  7. Keep in touch with your classmates, teachers, and student union members.
  8. And stay positive and motivated.
